Carbon Laser Facial
A carbon laser facial is a non-invasive, painless procedure that uses a layer of liquid carbon and laser technology to deeply exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin. Often called a "Hollywood Peel" or "Black Doll Facial," it gives the skin an immediate glow with no downtime.
How it Works
Application: A thin layer of liquid carbon is applied to the skin and allowed to dry. The activated carbon absorbs oil, dead skin cells, and other impurities deep within the pores.
Laser Treatment: A specialized laser, such as an Nd:YAG, passes over the skin. The laser light is highly attracted to the dark carbon particles.
Vaporization: The laser energy heats and fragments the carbon particles, causing tiny, painless explosions. This removes the carbon and the debris it has absorbed, providing a deep exfoliating and purifying effect.
Collagen Stimulation: The heat penetrates the deeper layers of the skin (dermis), stimulating collagen and elastin production for firmer, more youthful-looking skin.
Benefits
- Deep Cleansing: Removes excess oil, dirt, and impurities from the skin.
- Shrinks Pores: Tightens enlarged pores with heat from the laser.
- Treats Acne: Kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation.
- Reduces Signs of Aging: Minimizes fine lines and wrinkles by boosting collagen production.
- Improves Skin Tone & Texture: Addresses pigmentation, sun damage, and uneven skin tone for a brighter complexion.
- No Downtime: Any redness usually subsides within a few hours.
What to Expect
- Sensation: Most people feel a comfortable, warm sensation with a slight tingling or "snapping" feeling as the laser passes over the skin.
- Aftercare: Skin may feel tighter and appear brighter immediately. Use sunscreen and avoid harsh exfoliants or retinoids for a few days.
- Results: Some improvement is visible after a single session, but 4–6 treatments spaced 2–4 weeks apart are recommended for optimal, long-lasting results.
